| In years past manufacturers have
tried to produce reliable quick-connect fittings for
fluid lines on Carburetors,
Transmissions and Oil Coolers etc. without the need for
tools. When new these previous efforts worked as advertised, but
after only a few Connect/Disconnect cycles these earlier efforts started leaking
and had to be discarded. Fast Forward to 2006 and the introduction of Jiffy-tite Connectors. Jiffy-tite, using patented sealing technology has overcome the leaking issue with fittings that last hundreds if not thousands of Connect/Disconnect Cycles and which can be rebuilt in the event that debris cuts an internal seal.
